one angmoh told me his experience when he was in kl few yrs ago...
so this angmoh was on a business trip 2kl...instead of hoppin onto a cab,this kiamsiap angmoh decided to walk (in kl's hot-sweaty-tropical weather) -________-"
so sure lah...his body reacted to da heat n he was sweating like mad...no more water,so thirsty lah...so this angmoh wanted 2buy a bottle of water from da penjaja at the roadside.so this angmoh forgot(i think he didn know) what v call water in BM...
being a "scientist"...(with a dr infront of his name),he said to da penjaja...
angmoh: "er....aqua...aqua!"*followed by the drinkin water movement*
penjaja:"har?apa? *frowned*
thinkin tht the penjaja didn get what he meant,he repeated again...
angmoh:"aqua...aqua...i want aqua!" *doing da drinkin water sign again*
da angmoh said he didn get the "aqua" he wanted in the end after he saw tht the penjaja's face was changin...like wanna cari gaduh.so he left w/o his water...red faced,still sweating...XD and when he told this incident to his malaysian collegue later,his collegue laughed like mad and brought him over to pudu station to check out the real malaysian-type-"aqua"....
moral of the story:never forget your own language even if u're in foreign land...this angmoh cleverly forgot his own english language...u freakin didn know how to say "Water" izzit?
boooooooooooooooooooooooooooduh~!
p/s: jz in case u still cant get da joke,aqua = ah kua=pondan...n did u realise da drink water movement looks abit like somethin else?XD
