semester 4...>_

finished semester 4's 1st week...n it wasn exactly what i had expected*winks*i "survived" n got used 2it...tho i didn expect it2b so bz...endless burfday celebrations..vyeaw(belated)->Qris->more 2go..XD

sem4 started off with biopharmacy 3...the word "biopharmacy" alwayz mean "easiest subject for a semester"...well...if this is really true,then i think i sure gonna suffer sem4 >_

pharmacy practice (PP1) started off with heavy cal lab sessions...lotsa calculations..impossible 2finish in 3 hrs...T_T extemporaneous dispensing~ i tot dad said pharmacist onli needs 2count panadol pills?!what made things worst was....Mr david's lectures....gAWD~even the brainiest+nerdiest person couldn tahan his "3 word pause"....zzZzz...

maybe everyone's bored for the past 5weeks?haha,anyway..ding dong ti3n was kind enuf 2organize a camp for us..(actually it's suppose 2b organized by the infinity miller society-.-") *tHanx lotZ ya ding dong~^^

1st dAy -10/6/2006-
-gathered infront of imu around 9am...22 of us
-drivers: ti3n,kiddo,yuen,Qris and the imu Unser..^^
-participators:Ju-On,NS,Feihing,fish,babi wern,peiling,sjian,smiin,kAhyee,yijie,joanne,wmeng, grace,the couple, jason,shaolin soccer,amelia

-reached Broga(jz realise that it's actually a place at the NS-Selangor border) 1hr++ later n went thru some ice breakers...helped us 2know each other's name tho i find the game kinda lame..XD
-after checkin in,v had our "bento"...everyone was complainin bout the air sirap...2sweet la,food ave la..bla~bla~

-after every1 settled down,v headed towards the basketball court n hv our raft building session,n after that v were suppose 2 hv a rafting competition...haha,my group who started off quite ambitiously in the end...experienced somethin which the other groups had not...XD i nearly drowned when my leg was caught between the strings...*thanx qris+kiddo* n i shall call our raft...Poseidon...XD

-Cookout~!!Qris = chef of the day...^^played some games after that...n around 8.30pm,v put on ,lotsa insect repellant n long pants...for the highlight of the nite...-jungle walk-!!

-" remember ah,dun make noise...dun break anythin coz v r now going to 'other ppl's' place"

-after the "Very exciting yet tiring" walk, most of the guyz headed to the nearest mamak...coz there was a soccer match between ENGLAND n paraguay!! england won 1-0 ^^

-everyone was 2tired for the campfire+bbq so in the end only a few of us participated...haha,jz discovered tht kiddo's actually a great eater..XD v stayed up until 3am++ n sleep....

2nd dAy -11/06/2006
-those (includin me) who stayed up late couldn woke up in time for the followin mornin...v rather missed breakfast so that v hv an extra hour of sleep...XD

-body combat!!wtf...this was the thing that nearly make us whack that ding dong...

-high ropes...which made most of us regret for doing all those stEEEEWPIT~ biceps n triceps thingy...the most scary thing i think...but very nice...what an experience~!!

-obstacle courses...which required lotsa team work...n oso actually showed who's the clumsy one(ME!!),who's the geng one...oh ya,v had n extra member during the course...boo-boo..XD by the time everythin's completed,everyone's dying for water...water~~~~~~

-lunch...drinkin air sirap was....HEAVENLY~oh ya,gotta mention the pink coloured chicken v had...XD

-Flying Fox!!!love it...~~

-the tired ppl headed towards the room n layed flat on the floor...zzZZz...~ the hyperactive ones...went canoeing...feihing!!!

-War gAme (by Qris) some ppl didn participate...tired bah...?anyway,v really had a great time in gettin ourselves wet...

yup,after spending almost the whole sem break doing this..i finally got my "catz family" poster (almost) done!will still need touch ups tho...n need 2 stitch everythin on another big piece of brown cloth,n try 2get a suitable frame from IKEA soon...haha~m on my way 2 complete another smaller project--> pei ling,hazel,vyeaw,andy,hsheong de burf-day gifts...hopez can get it done on time..XD

oh ya,picked up knitting recently too..still got lotsa room 4 improvement tho..hopefully will b able 2knit myself a scarf for scotland later on?thatz gonna be a HUGE project...

holidayz ending soon..will need 2go bk n regain my study momentum...oh yea,n senior's gonna b off coming wednesday 6/6/06...BESt-est for all of u ppl in scotland ya...managed 2 meet up with ah beng,joe...haha,933 again~2bad didn manage 2catch up with hot babe senior chin yee+yih yang...(wrong timing la wey...XD)

Generation gap >_<

since young,i nvr really experienced generation gaps...until recently...wif the prescence of "2 pendatang haram",which make things worst...

i'm no longer young n ignorant,i can feel that dad loved me very much...he tried very hard to "befriend" me,to talk at the same level as me...not many fathers r able to do that,to actually put down their "great ego-ness" n try "pleasing" their children...for example,when i stayed up late sometimes to go online,he will actually accompany me indirectly by sitting infront of the tv at the living room,which often he'll fall asleep...i know dad loves me..i REALLY DO!!but then sometimes,what dad said/do makes me wonder...whether to laugh or to cry...things said n done alwayz seemed to land on the wrong time,n the wrong place,which often made me more annoyed than pleased..in the end,i often hurt his feelings...n regreted after that...

being the eldest in the family,dad has the character of sacrificing his own desire in order to please others...but sometimes,some lousy fellas like to take things for granted..as if the whole world owe her somethin...wtf...all this tend to make ppl who loved him upset...which often, is mum...

frankly,d prescence of the "pendatang haram" recently really made things worst..it upsets mum,it upsets me...n dad gets upset as well...being the unwelcome one,i think the "pendatang haram" felt uneasy as well..but the pendatang's lousy "care-taker" is enjoying her life now somewhere north...really...useless fella!i mean,who on earth r they to come here interfering our peaceful lifes?!mum's holiday jz started,n i think she really needs a break...dad's kinda stress bcoz of work 2..n i think that f*ckin fella should giv my dad a break too!darned angry with them..really wanted 2 phone up n scold the hell out of her~!!to make things worst,the pendatang haram,being pendatang themselves,couldn b bother 2behave n take care of themselves...what the heck...UR MOTHER NEVER TEACH U AH? (no,thatz eactly what their mother taught them...)

so in the end,this holiday turned up side down...mum,who r suppose 2relax..bcome more stressful...n dad,knowin that v r not happy with the prescence of the "pendatang haram",but nevertheless,love+felt responsible towards the "pendatang haram"..made him serba salah,n super sensitive when mum n me joked bout the "pendatang haram"..all this eventually affect our relationships...

sin nen came 2me few dayz ago,asking me 2teach her how 2 stitch..well,it seems like she hv somethin+someone in mind...XD taught her a few basic stuff that i know...chain stitch,blanket stitch,cross stitch..etc. the end result was quite satisfactory...good job gurl~!hopez "he" likes it ya...haha~the stitchin bug somehow influenced her fren,pei ing...so she joined in yesterday..i think she's tryin 2 make somethin for her brother?man...how i wished i hv a brother too...=)

n yup..i finally started my 2nd sem break project 2...sin nen was a catalyst 2it,n my laziness was an inhibitor...muahaha~finally,by increasing the concentration of the catalyst,the process proceed...in a slow rate XD

actually was suppose 2make little belated bday gifts for pei ling (5/5),vyeaw(30/4),hazel(5/5),andy(15/5)..but then,still no inspiration...yet..T_T

was wondering how i'll spend my 5 weeks left of holidayz when Mr Gordon stepped in...muahaha~he introduced me 2 this HK series,which he seemed 2b very addicted to...so..yup,my 1st project for this sem break's to finish this series...if i'm not mistaken it's called "The Last Breakthrough"...tho it doesn really seem 2connect with its name in mandarin...hmm..anyone?any idea?
well,basically the drama's about a group of very dedicated doctors (maybe this explains y gordon's like it so much?)and health professionals..who r both talented n caring...goes far beyond what normal doctors will do...well,i'm kinda addicted to the series now..which cause my mum 2 constantly nag on me 4spending hours n hours infront of the notebook,watchin the drama...

sometimes it just made me wonder...y every year,this time...many ppl will do whatever they can,just to enter medical school...what actually cause this "Craze" 2occur?r they really willing 2 care?love?or izzit plain glamour+money...?i think doing medicine n hoping 2graduate n work as a doctor itsn't only about dedication+glamour...choose 2b a doctor,itsn't so simple...2those frenz who chose 2do medicine...i salute u!n yea,hope u made the correct choice..n graduate 2b a very good doctor...

after 2weeks of studyin like a dog...3 weeks of hell life...finally~!
sem 3 seemed 2 end fast...one moment,v jz came bk from sem2 sem break...with seniors bz with their sem5...n now...sem3 ended,senior's gone...
had lunch in food ave today,imu seemed 2b awfully quiet...yea,imu's gonna b quiet for a while...
missed this sem's class trip 2redang...muahaha~went shopping with wern n bao...bought fren's present...hope they like it very much...=) for those who r in KK now...hope u guyz r able 2get ur asses up mount kinabalu..XD

had our microbiology practical exam this morning...i think a few of my frenz faced some problems in identifying the microorganisms they got...i think even differenciating between Gram -ve n Gram +ve is tough for their case...n talking bout differenciating between coccus n bacillus...hmm~just hope that they get it correct lah...but then,my frenz have different answers?if one is correct,that me the other fren's will b wrong...sob~

according to Mr.Khalid,identification dun carry marks...yea well,i guess marks r not the onli thing that matters...?imagine spending stressful time doing Gram staining n identification tests...n in the end,didn get the correct identity of the microorganisms...!(#&$#^!!! rite?

well, as for me,tho experienced some confusions in Oxidase test+my poor technique in using the microscope...things were quite smooth..thank God!was quite relieved when i saw the Centrimide agar on my bench...i was like..."I know U!Pseudomonas aeruginosa!"
the miroorganism given to me showed resistance onli to 1 antibiotic...so yea,i onli needed 2 measure the zone of inhibition for it...completed my identification quite early..so i repeated the Oxidase test again...n looked at the bacteria under the microscope again...to confirm.yup!

• growth on centrimide agar.
• rods.->bacillus
• stained red.->Gram -ve
• pallisade arrangement. (clever Phuay Fhern reminded me yesterday...Thanx!!) =)
• +ve result for oxidase test.
• clinical case given:respiratory problem

my hypothesis: Pseudomonas aeruginosa

my fingers r still crossed...so hope i get things correct!
