Paris.

by then,i was sick.we took multiple train trips traveling from venice>milan>geneva, switzerland and finally landed ourselves in Paris Gare de Lyon. but we were devastated when we reached around 22.40 and saw that Gare de Lyon(Lyon train station) is actually an open-aired train station!our initial plan was to take a night train venice>paris.fully booked.nvm.we then tot of spending the nite in Gare de Lyon.but...open aired?in winter nite?!!!

we went around like headless (frozen) chickens and finally decided to try our luck at the hotel we booked for the following nite.i tell u...seldom in my life that i've prayed so hard.

anyhow,we eventually managed to get a room at the hotel and even got ourselves free breakfasts!after checking into the rooms we booked the followin morning,we took the metro and headed for Paris.(we were stayin in Torcy)

- versailles castle(palace?) was our 1st stop.the queue to get the entrance tickets was estimated to be 3.5hrs,queue to enter 1.5hrs (written on the notice board near the pagar).siao can!we weren't that curious to know whatz so interesting bout this castle,so we decided to instead camwhore abit with it and head to our next more important destination...

- Eiffel Tower Paris!
- breathtaking it was...gosh...SAYA KAT PARIS NI...*faints*

we camwhored and camwhored.and camwhored.from far.from near.from down.from left.from under.camwhored.fuh~

next destination was the Louvre.had been anticipating for this visit and what i got when i 1st reached was "I WAS CHEATED!"that damn da vinci code book made me believed that the 2 pyramid thingy was actually on top of each other.which in actual fact...is like sooooooooooo freakin faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar awaaaaaaaaaaaay from each other.DUH!

- the turn down.testin to see whether got rahsia da vinci or not.-___-"

- another disappointment.9euros and uncountable contacts with sweaty smelly white/black/brown/yellow colored bodies just for this?!!
oh well,maybe because im not intellectual enough to "feel" all these art masterpieces lar...


- but the night view of the Louvre at least justify my visit to the Louvre abit lar...

off for escargots!

and we headed back to the Eiffel Tower again for the night view.

-paid 6euros for a trip up the Eiffel Tower.half by stairs.(can die can die can die can die can die CAN DIE!)half by the escalator.

eish..bukan kita khiam siap okie..sebab we queued for like 30min liao only discovered that we were in the wrong queue.so bo huat lar...our initial plan was to pay 9.5euros for a full trip up the tower okie...

the view from the top of the tower was worth more than 10euros.no photos tho because i wasn't able to get a single clear shot due to my ciplak digicam+shaky hands+the wind which was strong enough to blow you away(no joke).

- we were once 12433km away from home...T_T i mish home.....

was too fascinated by the view that we couldn't make it down in time for Arch de Triumph.aiyo,cannot shopping liao.XD (as tho....haha)

2nd day was "fullfilling childhood dream day"

Italy.

finally got the photos from liang,so here's the post on my 2nd Eurotrip...to Italy-Paris.so u know who to blame for my lack of updates...teehee

All the airtickets were fully booked by the time we wanted to get ours,hanya tinggal flight tickets to Milan.so we decided that Milan will be our 1st stop.didn't spend much time there tho...was in Milan for approximately...4hrs?

- Milan's famous duomo.it was right smacked infront of us as we ascend the stairs from the subway.my 1st reaction?wuuuuuuaaaaaaa~~~~cantik giler. but i was clad in Padini polo-t tho..so wth...XD i think cousie huiyan will whack the heck outta me if she knows...haha.

- i looked like some anime guy.wern looks like some kampung wee girl who just reached Milan.harharhar.

After licking all the windows(those who linger infront of branded shops and couldn't afford to buy are known as "window-lickers" to the Italians) along Via Montenapoleone, we boarded our "free sitting" 5 hours train to Rome.

the train journey was a heck of an experience i tell u.for those who slept in airports/trainstations/mcD/roadside before...it was still bearable.but i think for the New Zealander,it was somethin...new.XD


christmas eVe was spent in Rome!checked into MonaLisa Hotel(monalisa's NOT in Rome btw -__-"), bathed and out we go again.

- Colosseum!Colosseum!looking at it and touching its wall after seeing it from books and pictures....speechless i tell u.but the fact that we didn't manage to make it into the colosseum even after we bought the tickets left us speechless as well.damn sad can..n frustrated.

-Rome's famous batu buruk XD looking at the amount of batu buruk and applying a wee bit of ur imagination,u can tell that the Roman empire was HUMONGOUS.HUGE.BIG.whatever u call it.


- Fontana de Trevi!omigosh omigosh...*faints* i love can...Trevi fountain somehow cured my disappointment(not being able to enter colosseum) a little...just...a little.
i made my wish.the others made their wishes as well.threw our coins in(some old man "fish" it out wth > <") and we camwhored.

i wished i'll pass my pP3 this january. *sobz*

- after some consideration, we decided not to go "see the pope" on christmas eve night.instead,we decided to go colosseum again and have a good rest later on.


- Colosseum by night.it was kind of like a bonding session for the 5ive of us.we walked around the colosseum touching the dinding.we chatted.we laughed.we take photos of each other. =) i did hope that time would stop there. christmas eve 2007 wasn't that bad after all...

- Christmas in Vatican City!another omigosh...the place was packed i tell u.Vatican City and the pope plays a significant role among catholics if im not mistaken.i think the whole Rome was there in St Petro's Square on christmas eve night.
According to liang, christians considered themselves(ourselves?)blessed if they have their christmas in the Vatican City.aaahh~5ive blessed jakuns.XD

- Spanish steps in Rome.read from the magazine in Ryanair(Pst.Andrew said "RyanScare"XD) that this is one of the top places to propose.haha..i don't see any romantic-ness in urine-stained stairs pun.

took an early 3hrs train to Florence.checked in our 3stars apartment(yup,3stars for 18euros pp) and took another 1hr train to Pisa.

- Ponte Vecchio in Florence.it was a pity that we didn't get to see it's dayview but the nightview is still great nevertheless. altho it looks like some rumah papan murah on top of a titi buruk...it is actually consists of 2rows of wooden shops selling diamonds and jewelleries...
